Beauty is the Color of Truth: Exploring Buddhist Wisdom for Awakening Society

Ronald Y. Nakasone is a member of the Core Doctoral Faculty at the Graduate Theological Union (GTU) in Berkeley, California and a faculty at the Stanford University Geriatric Education Center. Professor Nakasone shares his reflections on bioethical and other modern dilemmas at a variety of international and national forums and publications. He is currently exploring the structure of Buddhist thinking and its implications as an alternative to rational (Western) traditions that posit a single center (perspective). He is an ordained J?doshinsh? cleric and a skilled sho (calligraphy) artist.

Professor Nakasone has published more than 90 academic books and articles on Buddhist Studies, Aging and Spirituality, and Okinawan Studies. He has a special interest in Buddhist aesthetics.
