Significance Of Water From A Buddhist Perspective

Mr. Wimal Hewamanage, a young Pali and Buddhist scholar, who serves as a lecturer in Pali and Buddhist Studies, University of Colombo, Sri Lanka. Further, he renders his academic contribution to the Post Graduate Institute of Pali and Buddhist Studies, University of Kelaniya, as a visiting lecturer.

Mr. Hewamanage, has obtained the Bachelor of Arts degree with the first class in Pali, Master of arts degree in Buddhist Studies and Master of Philosophy degree in Pali from the University of Kelaniya.

'Buddhist Rituals and Literature (2005)' 'Buddhist Hygiene: Prophylaxis and Therapy' (2008) are some key publications. 'Influence of Sanskrit on Pali Grammar: A Comparative Study of the Katantra and the Kaccayana' Annual Research Symposium, Faculty of Arts, University of Colombo, and 'Translation Methods of the Sinhala J?takapota: A Comparative Study of the Sinhala Jãtakapota and the Pãli Jãtakatthakathã,' Sri Lanka Association for Buddhist Studies, 3rd Symposium at Anuradhapura, Bhikkhu University are some research papers presented by him. Also, he is a regular writer of academic articles on Pali, Sanskrit and Buddhist Studies.
