Most Ven. Xue Cheng,

In 1966, Ven. Master Xuecheng was born in Xianyou, Fujian Province.

In 1982, he was ordained into monkhood in Putian Guanghua Monastery of Fujian.

In 1991, he graduated from the Buddhist Academy of China with a master's degree.

In 2007, he was conferred an Honorary Ph. D. Degree in Educational Administration from Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University of Thailand.

In 2010, he received the "Atish Dipankar Gold Peace Award" of Bangladesh. Posts currently taken by Ven. Master Xuecheng include: Member of the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the CPPCC; Vice Chairman of All-China Youth Federation; Vice Chairman of the Youth Federation of the Central Government Departments; Secretary General of China Committee on Religion and Peace; Executive Vice President of the Buddhist Association of China; First Deputy Chairman of the Association of International Buddhist University; First Vice President of the Buddhist Academy of China; President of the Buddhist Association of Fujian; President of the Fujian Buddhist Academy; Vice Chair of the Academic Rank Guiding Work Committee of Tibetan Buddhism; Chief Editor of the Voice of Dharma; Chief Editor of Fujian Buddhism; Abbot of Putian Guanghua Monastery of Fujian; Abbot of Fufeng Famen Monastery of Shaanxi; Abbot of Beijing Longquan Monastery etc.
